Tenth Grade

By tenth grade, most students have acclimated to life as a high school student. That means they should be primarily independent learners with a sense of personal responsibility. The goal of high school coursework for tenth grade students is to prepare them for life after high school, either as a college student or a member of the workforce. Most standard curriculums of US tenth grade Humanities and Language Arts classes include Greek Mythology and European or British History. If the students are required to learn myths and folklore along with the history of Europe, they should be required to learn the history of the native people of this land and the systemic racism and cultural bias their history caused.
